I’ve received a ‘serum out of date’ notification, what does this mean?

11 views CTR FAQ Admin 0

From the HLA policy perspective, HLA serum should be updated every 6 months for both HSP and KPD patients. This policy was approved and signed in April 2017.

The CTR notifications come out early (90 days after the last serum entry) so that the lab/coordinators have time to get new serum from the recipient. Please note, the notifications are for information only, we never exclude recipients based on the age of their serum results.
